"I was delighted to win a Facebook competition to win 2 tickets for Carrie's War - and even more delighted now we have seen it - it was OUTSTANDING!!
It was a total pleasure to see such an outstanding piece of theatre - totally flawless.
We have our own theatre group taking specially-written plays into Special School to support the education of pupils with learning disabilities, www.engrosstheatre.org.uk , so we were particularly pleased that this was an inclusive production.
It was lovely to see such a magnificent well-designed set, authentic costumes, fantastic singing, and to top it all superb acting/direction.
We found the whole experience totally uplifting!
Thank you for making our day!!"

"P.S. How did the skull vanish at the end? Amazing magical effect!!"
“As a great fan of the book and the BBC production of Carries War, I just wanted to say how much my husband and I enjoyed it at the Arts Theatre, Cambridge. Set was brilliant and all the cast superb, particularly Mr.Johnny. Thank you!" Hazel, Cambridge. September 2010
“Thank you for the fantastic production of Carrie's War you put on. I thoroughly enjoyed it - I particularly liked the character of Nick. He amused me. I know what it feels like to be a younger brother.” - David, North London
“I just wanted you to know that we had a thoroughly good time. Our party was 2 adults and 2 teenagers (girl 13 and boy 17) and we all found the play most entertaining, amusing and moving. Please pass our thanks to the production crew and to the superb cast whose sincerity, talent and clear pride in what they were doing shone through and made for a lovely experience.” - Louis Victor
“Just to let you know that I brought my daughters Alissa (11) and Fenella (7) to see Carrie’s War and we thought it was brilliant! We know the book quite well and have seen two BBC offerings over the years - your production topped it all, so thank you!” - Jane Machin
“I came to the matinee performance today with a friend for her birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed it! It brought back memories for me as I read the book in the 1970’s and saw the dramatisation of it on children’s television” - Karen Ingrey
“Wow - fantastic show. Just got home and wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it. Thank you so much for a wonderful afternoon. The best play I have ever seen! Wish I could come and see it again and again!!!!” - Julie Heginbottom
“Myself and my daughter came to see Carrie’s War on Thursday 20th Aug, both of us enjoyed the show very much. It was my daughters first time watching a play; she never took her eyes of the stage, and loved it very much. From my point of view I have seen many plays but for the first time I was really taken in by the story and to my shock I shed a tear or two, it really pulled at my heart strings. Lastly may I congratulate the actor who played Mr Johnny, what a performance, it will be a performance I will never forget. His performance is what you go to the theatre for, I was moved so much by his character. I would like to congratulate everyone in the show for a fantastic afternoon at the theatre” - Andrew and Lauren Blowers
